New Volvo EX30 Garners Prestigious Awards
Arriving soon on New Zealand shores, the all-new, fully electric Volvo EX30 has not only garnered the attention of many but has received awards globally.
The EX30 has proven to be an ‘award magnet’ by being crowned the Carwow Car of the Year 2024 among hundreds of reviewed cars. Additionally, the small yet mighty EX30 was acclaimed as the ‘Eco Warrior of the Year’ in the TopGear.com Awards 2023, recognised for having the smallest carbon footprint of any Volvo car to date.
Carwow Car of the Year 2024
“Volvo has smashed it out of the park. The little EX30 is the best all-round electric car – and the best car all-round – that I’ve driven all year, and it’s priced to appeal to the head as much as its design and driving experience appeal to the heart. It has bags of character, drives really nicely, is efficient and is one of the most affordable small electric SUVs you can buy. There’s loads of space in the front, and it is really good at soaking up bumps for a relaxing and comfortable drive. It is a persuasive argument for anyone thinking about going electric.” – Mat Watson, Carwow Chief Content Officer
‘Eco Warrior of the Year’ TopGear.com
“This award isn’t simply because the EX30 is a handsome, compact electric car that’s well priced with decent range. That’s not enough these days. The hard part in reducing your carbon footprint is tackling it at source – manufacturing – and Volvo has done that better than anyone else. So by the time your three-year PCP runs out, it’s in the clear versus a petrol XC40, and that advantage will accelerate as the grid gets more renewable. It’s not glamourous, but it’s the stuff that counts.” – Jack Rix, Top Gear Editor in Chief
