Avid Garage Collection
Last weekend Archibalds Porsche attended the Avid Garage Collection, showcasing some of Christchurch’s most rare and collectable supercars while fundraising for the NZ Flying Doctors Service and Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust. Porsche 919 Hybrid
The Porsche 919 Hybrid was responsible for three consecutive Le Mans victories, while driven by Kiwi drivers, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber. This is considered to be one of the most successful cars in Porsches motorsport history. As a token of appreciation towards these talented drivers, Porsche Germany gifted Porsche New Zealand a 1:1 replica, that now travels the country for all kiwis to see.
Porsche 911 Speedster Heritage Edition
The event also featured some of our customers’ cars, with the 911 Speedster making a statement. Based on the 991 series, the new 911 Speedster is the first Porsche vehicle to feature the newly designed Heritage Design package. The Heritage Design package for the 911 Speedster is a modern interpretation of historic elements from the 1950s and 1960s – such as the classic two-tone leather interior with numerous Cognac highlights and golden details.

Despite the classic Christchurch wet weather, there was an amazing turnout of excited car enthusiasts to view some of these incredible cars. Through the generous donations at the gate, Avid Group managed to raise a total of $2,048.70 for the NZ Flying Doctors Service and the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Helicopter Service. This couldn’t have been done without your generosity, and we’re incredibly proud to play a small part in such an incredible event. We’d also love to say a big thank you to Devon and the team at Avid Group, we look forward to your next event!
