Archibalds Porsche Meet and Greet

Last week we held an event at our Porsche showroom as a ‘meet and greet’ for our customers. With some changes in our management structure, the event formed an excellent opportunity for us to re-connect with guests over a glass of wine amongst some highly desirable vehicles.

Introducing the 24 hours of Le Mans Championship-winning replica

24 hour of lemans race car

One of the centrepieces of the night was the legendary Porsche 919 Hybrid replica. This incredible car was responsible for three consecutive Le Mans victories, while driven by Kiwi drivers, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber. This was considered to be one of the most successful cars in Porsches motorsport history. As a token of appreciation towards these talented drivers, Porsche Germany gifted Porsche New Zealand a 1:1 replica to show off for all of New Zealand to see.

After spending some time checking out the Porsche 919, and getting some refreshments from the bar, we took some time to introduce the team that works extremely hard to provide a wonderful experience when you purchase your next Porsche.

Introducing our Senior Management team…

Anthony Kearns – General Manager

Since starting his role as General Manager of Archibalds in November last year, Anthony Kearns has shown his respect for previous Archibalds traditions, while implementing strategies to further grow the business. Anthony presented a brilliant speech, highlighting some of his own personal accomplishments while welcoming our guests with open arms. Anthony is excited to be a part of the Archibalds family and looks forward to meeting you at our dealership.

Bruce Miles – Owner of Archibalds

Introducing the founder and governing director of the Miles Group, Bruce Miles. Bruce combines a passion for the automotive industry with an understanding of the market, bringing over 40 years of experience to the Archibalds brand. Born and raised in Rangiora, Bruce has a deep love and connection to Canterbury and was excited to meet some of our customers. During his presentation, Bruce shared with us some of his history in the automotive world, as well as introducing the family that continues to support him day in and day out. Bruce is also an enthusiastic motorsport fan and participant, and often participates in the Archibalds Historic Touring Car events.

Richard Wood – Porsche Centre Manager

In the short time since assuming the role of Porsche Centre Manager, Richard Wood has made it his top priority to get to know our staff and customers on a more personal level. Richard has a strong passion for the automotive industry, having spent the majority of his career working with some of the world’s largest car brands, such as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, BMW group, and Mercedes-Benz. Fresh from his role as Regional Sales Manager for Rolls-Royce UAE, Richard is excited to help push Archibalds Porsche forward, and settle back into his original home of New Zealand. Having spent so long working overseas, Richard decided now was the right time to settle in back home, and enjoy some much-needed time with his family.

We’d like to thank each and every person that attended our event, it wouldn’t be possible without your engagement and support. We look forward to seeing you upon your next visit to Archibalds Porsche.
