Archibalds Partners with Ollie Gibbons & OG Motorsport

Archibalds is incredibly proud to announce our official partnership with Ollie Gibbons and OG Motorsport for the 2026/27 South Island Endurance Series. For us, this collaboration represents far more than a traditional sponsorship; it’s the celebration of a motorsport journey that began within our own Archibalds community.

Ollie’s authentic connection with the Porsche brand was truly ignited during the 2025 Archibalds Porsche Drive Experience at the Mt Cotton Driver Training Facility in Queensland. Designed to let drivers fully explore the capabilities of a Porsche in its natural habitat, the track experience offers a Level 1 and Level 2 certification, complete with closed-road circuit lapping and dynamic vehicle control under the guidance of certified instructors. It was on this very track that Ollie’s passion began evolving into a professional pursuit and, following the event, he went on to complete Levels 3 and 4 of the programme.

Setting the Pace for the 2026/27 Season

Racing a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992), Ollie’s 2026-27 programme includes three South Island Endurance rounds, six GT New Zealand and NextGen events, and ten test days. This will provide nine race meetings across six New Zealand circuits, including Levels Raceway, Ruapuna, Teretonga, Taupō, Hampton Downs and Highlands.

The opening round of the South Island Endurance Series at Levels Raceway showcased Ollie’s resilience and racecraft. Following an unfortunate issue with an engine oil cap that forced him to withdraw from qualifying, Ollie found himself starting from the very back of the grid, but undeterred by the setback he drove a phenomenal race.

The primary goal for the opening round was to gain valuable race experience, build confidence, and establish pace, and Ollie exceeded expectations by fighting his way through the pack to secure a highly impressive third-place podium finish – providing a formidable foundation for the season ahead.

The Road Ahead

As the series progresses, you won’t miss the striking purple OG Motorsport Porsche 992 on the track. The next round brings the action close to home at Euromarque Motorsport Park (Ruapuna) in Christchurch this weekend, October 2–3, with race day on Saturday. We’re excited to head along, support Ollie, and see the OG Motorsport Porsche in action.
