Fashion for a Cure 2024

The annual Fashion for a Cure catwalk and dining gala was held recently at the stunning Majestic on Durham. Now running for over 10 years, the iconic event still does not fail to bring excitement, desire, and immense support for the Breast Cancer Foundation.

With Volvo Cars New Zealand, we are delighted to support this event and be able to take some of our loyal Volvo customers to partake the glitz and the glamour.

This year’s line-up of New Zealand designers included the likes of Dame Trelise Cooper, Juliette Hogan, Nom*D, RUBY, and many more. This year it was also exciting for the models to be elegantly made up by up-and-coming New Zealand make-up brand Basalaj Beauty.

While the catwalk was in full swing, the guests were treated to a gourmet three-course meal and entertainment of a live auction with the proceeds going directly to Breast Cancer Cure.

Breast Cancer Cure was established in response to the growing number of patients requiring invasive treatments such as mastectomies and breast reconstructions. The foundation was built with the hope and goal of making a significant difference in breast cancer outcomes through investments in research, aiming to bring about positive impacts. Fashion for a Cure is just one of the many ways the organisation secures funding.

Overall, the Christchurch Fashion for a Cure event raised over $100,000. What an amazing feat.
