Driving Change: Archibalds at The Amazing Raise 2025

Archibalds is a Christchurch family-owned business, and we believe in more than motors. We believe in community. For nearly three years, Archibalds has been a proud partner of the Māia Health Foundation. This year, we are thrilled to team up with the Māia Health Foundation again for their flagship fundraiser, The Amazing Raise 2025, helping to drive positive change in Canterbury’s health system.

A day of impact

The Amazing Raise is a high-octane, team-based challenge event with a clear purpose: to raise funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Christchurch Women’s Hospital. Organised by the Māia Health Foundation, it is a city-wide event where teams from Canterbury businesses compete in a series of creative, strategic, and active challenges. Participants tackle tasks that range from driving and problem-solving to fun, quirky mini-games, all while fostering laughter, camaraderie, and friendly rivalry.

Teams raise funds through sponsorships, pledges, and participation, supporting important projects, equipment, and initiatives at Christchurch Hospital that might not otherwise receive public funding. The event combines serious fundraising with an exciting, hands-on experience for all involved.

Archibalds and The Amazing Raise

For 2025, Archibalds is proud to take on one of the major roles as one of the Activation Partners. This means our team, vehicles, and resources were involved in bringing the challenges to life, supporting participants on the ground, and helping ensure the event is a success. We are thrilled to be part of a community initiative that makes a real difference in the lives of families and newborns across Canterbury.

We ran three activations, hosted by Archibalds Porsche, Archibalds Land Rover, and Archibalds Audi:

  • Archibalds Porsche hosted a golf challenge at Riccarton Park Golf, where teams competed in a driving challenge and a mini-golf challenge.
  • Archibalds Audi generously provided Māia Health with four Audi vehicles for the day, allowing teams to get around Christchurch as they tackled the challenges. Their activation was a quiz during competitors’ lunch, where teams had to explore an Audi SQ5 to find the answers, giving them a closer look at the vehicle’s features.
  • Archibalds Land Rover ran a backing challenge. Teams had to reverse through a course, finding a clue at each corner. Once all the clues were collected, they solved a riddle to get a final password.

Other activations included axe throwing, painting and sculpting, and go-karts. Each activity tested teamwork, skill, and problem-solving while supporting a meaningful cause and contributing to a successful Amazing Raise 2025.

The Amazing Raise 2025 was a huge success, and we are proud to have played a part in supporting such an important cause. Thanks to the energy and generosity of all the teams, sponsors, and volunteers, the event raised over $100,000 for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Christchurch Women’s Hospital.

We would like to thank everyone who took part, the Māia Health Foundation for organising the event, and our teams at Archibalds Porsche, Archibalds Audi, and Archibalds Land Rover for bringing the activations to life. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of families and newborns across Canterbury.
