A New Era of Modern Luxury: Our Reimagined Range Rover and Defender Showroom

Range Rover and Defender have entered a bold yet understated new era globally, and with this has come a newly reimagined showroom at Archibalds that reflects the sleek, modern luxury philosophy each marque represents.

Recently, we officially opened the showroom’s expansive double doors, bringing together valued customers, Jaguar Land Rover representatives, our expert team, and the builders who brought the vision to life. The evening offered an opportunity to experience the new space, with elegant drinks and cocktails, individually customised desserts, and carefully considered details throughout, all reflecting the refinement and understated luxury synonymous with Range Rover and Defender.

Arrival Experience

Guests were welcomed by a black-carpet entrance framed by velvet ropes and dramatic lighting that accentuated the showroom’s architectural lines, intricate finishes, and refined details. Inside, our Range Rover and Defender hostess at Archibalds was on hand as arrivals began their journey through the new space, with a drink to sip and savour.

A Vision Realised

Once everyone had settled in, Archibalds General Manager Mark Milligan officially opened the evening before introducing New Zealand Jaguar and Land Rover General Manager, Ben Montgomery.

With the formalities concluded, attention turned to the different spaces throughout the showroom, each given its own identity for the evening.

“This showroom has been designed with the client in mind. We have a configuration area, multiple relaxation areas, client workspaces, a bespoke vehicle display area, and a beautiful reveal room.” – Mark Milligan, General Manager of Archibalds.

“Whilst we are standing in a beautiful new showroom, tonight is about much more than a building. It’s about what this space represents for you, our customers, our brands, and our future.” – Ben Montgomery, General Manager of Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand.

Experiencing the Space

With the formalities concluded, attention turned to the different spaces throughout the showroom, each given its own identity for the evening.

The journey began in the beautifully appointed Service and Parts area, where guests enjoyed locally crafted grazing platters by Moveable Feasts while exploring the reimagined showroom.

Personalisation at Its Finest

From there, guests made their way to the Configuration Bay, where deconstructed desserts offered the opportunity to create a personalised sweet treat. Ordinarily, this is where customers bring their vision for a new Range Rover or Defender to life, tailoring colours, materials, and finishes to suit their individual preferences.

An Icon on Display

Positioned grandly towards the entrance was the Defender Trophy Edition in Deep Sandglow Yellow. Paying homage to the heritage of the iconic adventure race, the vehicle represents a story deeply rooted in exploration and capability, while embracing the future of Defender. Its beautifully rugged presence naturally drew attention, while its story bore a striking parallel to the building itself – honouring the heritage of the marques while looking confidently towards the future.

An Elevated Experience

The Delivery Bay also took on a new role, transformed into an intimate cocktail bar where three made-to-order cocktails provided the perfect setting to pause, relax, and soak in the atmosphere of the evening. Each area offered a different way to explore and experience the showroom, bringing the showroom’s design versatility and attention to detail to life.
