The hero of a new era

The CUPRA Tavascan is the first hero of a new electric era for the CUPRA brand, bringing to the market a disruptive and unique vision for an all-electric future. This dynamic model challenges the traditional conventions of an EV, promising to deliver for a new generation of car lovers. Similar in size to the current CUPRA Formentor, the Tavascan is an AWD medium performance-focussed SUV that sits above the smaller Born EV.

Take a step inside the CUPRA Tavascan

Inside you’ll find mixed material and technological concepts that create the perfect balance between driver orientation and passenger comfort. A key aspect of this unconventional design is the central spine of the Tavascan, a structural centrepiece that supports the interior cabin and helps define the character of all the floating elements.

Further reinforcing the sportiness of the Tavascan are the bucket seats, made with up to 90% recycled polyester.

The dashboard of the Tavascan is where digital and tactile design meet, with the ultimate symbiosis of the latest technology and groundbreaking style. A 15″ infotainment screen (the largest thus far in the CUPRA range) sits as a focus of the Tavascans’s digital approach, geared towards the driver.

Throughout the cabin are LED lighting panels, which add ambient light that emphasises the floating elements of the interior, including the dashboard and 15″ centre console.

CUPRA Tavascan power and electric range

Finally, the top end of CUPRA’s first all-electric SUV range flaunts a dual-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain that produces 250 kW and 545 Nm of torque, an all-electric driving range of 549 km WLTP*, and can accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. Single-motor variants will also be available.

A driver-orientated SUV, the CUPRA Tavascan is based on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, boasting DCC Sport dynamic chassis technology, sport suspension, and progressive steering. These sporty attributes, plus performance tyres mounted on 21″ forged alloy wheels deliver a truly unique CUPRA experience.

Driver assistance technology hasn’t gone amiss, with the Tavascan featuring traffic sign recognition, lane assist, exit warning, adaptive cruise control, fatigue detection, and more.

*WLTP is the new official EU test used to calculate standardised fuel consumption and CO₂ figures for passenger cars. It measures fuel, energy consumption, range and emissions. This is designed to provide figures closer to real-world driving behaviour. It tests vehicles with optional equipment and with a more demanding test procedure and driving profile. Figures are shown as a range under WLTP testing measures. The most economical figures refer to the most efficient/lightest set of options. A vehicle’s actual fuel consumption may differ from that achieved in such tests and these figures are for comparative purposes only.
