The hero of a new era
The CUPRA Tavascan is the first hero of a new electric era for the CUPRA brand, bringing to the market a disruptive and unique vision for an all-electric future. This dynamic model challenges the traditional conventions of an EV, promising to deliver for a new generation of car lovers. Similar in size to the current CUPRA Formentor, the Tavascan is an AWD medium performance-focussed SUV that sits above the smaller Born EV.
CUPRA Tavascan highlights CUPRA’s new design language
Racy, challenging design is CUPRA through and through, and the Tavascan delivers in spades.
Derived directly from the Tavascan show car unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in 2019, the production-ready Tavascan brings to the market a disruptive and unique vision for an all-electric future, clearly headlining CUPRA’s new design language that will flow through to future models.
The Tavascan is designed to fit outside of the box – and for good reason.
CUPRA has always been a brand that prides itself on challenging conventions, taking it to the next level with the design of Tavascan.
Presenting a new generation of cars, the focal point of the Tavascan is a three-triangle eye signature in the headlamp. These illuminated triangles are accompanied by advanced lighting functions, such as the Matrix LED beams. This is enhanced by the illuminated CUPRA logo (an industry first in Europe) that proudly adorns the bonnet, accented by deep sculptural surfaces. The front of the Tavascan has been carefully crafted to not only deliver an eye-catching aesthetic, but ultimate performance thanks to optimised aerodynamics. Meanwhile, take a look at the bottom of the Tavascan and you’ll notice that the sculptural lines flow into the air intakes, adding a practical feature to the design whilst also channelling air inwards to improve the thermal characteristics of the EV.
