Avid 2300: An Unforgettable Driving Adventure in New Zealand

Andrew’s Experience at the Avid 2300

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Avid 2300, a thrilling 2,300km drive through Otago and the lower South Island of New Zealand. This event was not just any road trip—it was a journey featuring 50 of the finest cars and 93 enthusiastic participants.

From the moment we hit the road, it was clear this would be an extraordinary experience. We drove through some of the most stunning landscapes New Zealand has to offer.

The Avid 2300 showcased an impressive array of vehicles, including Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and many more. I was fortunate to take the new Audi RS4 Competition on the trip, which, in my opinion, was the perfect blend of comfort for the 8 hours of driving we did each day, and also raw performance for some of the winding back roads where the quattro really got to shine.

Broken into 5 days, or rally stages as it sometimes felt, we were able to visit places such as the Caitlin’s and bluff, then Wanaka and Arrowtown, and the Mackenzie country. It was a real pleasure getting to spend some quality time with many of our loyal customers over the various stops for lunch, snacks, and some glasses of wine at the Distinction, where we were based.
