The First Ever Archibalds Porsche Track Day

Archibalds Porsche recently hosted their very first Porsche Track Day out at Christchurch’s Ruapuna Motorsport Park. The event was a resounding success, uniting Porsche enthusiasts from near and far. Whether a seasoned track veteran or a first-time driver, all were invited to unleash the full potential of Porsche on the track and experience the thrill of precision enginerring at speed.

From the moment they arrived, the anticipation was undeniable – our Archibalds Porsche guests were ready to unleash their machines on the track.

After check-in, a detailed safety briefing, and track guidelines, drivers suited up, donning their racing gear before making their way to their starting positions.

Before the drivers knew it, hours slipped away in a relentless roar of engines and thunderous sound of tyres, until the time came to re-group and grab a bite to eat in the Archibalds Lounge.

Adorned with classic Porsche 911 posters, the lounge was stocked with gourmet lunch boxes for our drivers and crew, while a Porsche coffee cart set up in the corner brewed fresh cups for our drivers. Before heading back out onto the track, the drivers had the chance to shop the latest Porsche Lifestyle merchandise.

The post-lunch race laps revved up a notch as everyone took on critiques and advice from others and were now determined to improve their lap times.

As the day drew to a close, it was clear a grand finale lap was in order and it soon turned into an all-out battle between two good friends, who scrapped it out for the top podium position in their respective 911s.

While all drivers returned to their pit lane, enthusiasm filled the air at the prospect of the next track event, and kudos for the whole day started to pour in.
