Archibalds Audi at the 2024 NZ Aerospace Summit

The 2024 New Zealand Aerospace Summit was recently held at Christchurch’s Te Pae Convention Centre. This two-day event featured an exciting line-up of exhibitors, focus sessions, and thought-provoking presentations, attracting more than 700 enthusiasts and professionals dedicated to shaping a sustainable future for New Zealand’s aerospace industry. This year’s event centred around the concept of ‘Aerospace for Good,’ highlighting the importance of collaboration across the diverse and innovative facets of Aotearoa’s aerospace sector.

One of the exhibitors was Kea Aerospace, with whom we had the privilege of collaborating in 2023 for the launch of the Kea Atmos Mk1. This groundbreaking, solar-powered, remotely piloted stratospheric aircraft is designed to fly continuously for months, capturing high-resolution aerial imagery to close critical data gaps and provide more accessible, real-time intelligence.

At the Summit, Kea Aerospace proudly showcased the Kea Atmos Mk1, a true representation of innovation in aerospace technology. In keeping with the event’s theme of using cutting-edge technology for the greater good, we were thrilled to support their display by providing an Audi Q4 e-tron—our own example of forward-thinking engineering and sustainability.

The Audi Q4 e-tron, with its fully electric drivetrain and advanced technology, was a fitting addition to the Kea Aerospace exhibit. Much like the Kea Atmos Mk1, the e-tron represents a future where innovation meets sustainability, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the automotive industry.

As more industries strive to reduce their environmental impact and leverage renewable energy sources, partnerships like the one between Kea Aerospace and Audi serve as a powerful example of how technology can be harnessed for positive change.
