A Day to Remember | Archibalds Range Rover Mystery Ladies Lunch

At Archibalds, we believe the ownership experience should be as exceptional as the vehicle itself. While we pride ourselves on delivering a seamless journey from purchase and trade-in through to finance, servicing and ongoing support, our commitment to customers extends far beyond the showroom doors.

We create opportunities to connect, celebrate and share experiences with the people who make our community so special. Recently, we welcomed a group of female Range Rover owners to the Archibalds Range Rover Mystery Ladies Lunch, an exclusive event designed to celebrate their journeys, their vehicles and the lifestyle that comes with Range Rover ownership.

We welcomed nine wonderful woman customers and their female guests, bringing together a total of 18 with diverse backgrounds, careers and Range Rover stories. While each guest had their own unique connection to the brand, they shared an appreciation for the craftsmanship, capability and luxury that define Range Rover.

Range Rover Ladies Lunch welcome note

The day began at The Old Vicarage in Halswell, where guests arrived at 9.30am in their Range Rovers with little knowledge of what the day ahead would hold. After coffee and a welcome briefing, they were invited to scan the QR code on their personalised welcome card, revealing both the mystery destination and the scenic route that would take them there.

Their journey led them to Caldera Vineyard Estate in Akaroa, a boutique vineyard nestled on the slopes of a long-extinct volcano, overlooking the picturesque harbour. Along the drive, guests enjoyed the opportunity to experience the latest Range Rover models, swapping vehicles at designated stops and discovering the unique character of each model alongside members of the Archibalds team.

Guests then embarked on a guided wine flight, sampling a selection of Caldera’s handcrafted wines. From the refreshing Pet Nat Rosé, crisp and citrus-driven Riesling, to the elegant Pinot Rosé and beautifully textured Pinot Gris, each wine showcased the unique character of the region and invited guests to discover their personal favourite.

Adding a personal touch to the afternoon, Caldera Vineyard Estate Founder and Director, Tony Anderson, shared the story behind the estate, its philosophy and the passion that has shaped the vineyard. Throughout the lunch, Tony remained an attentive host, pouring wines, serving guests and taking the time to connect with everyone around the table.

Guests were then treated to an exceptional three-course menu showcasing the very best of local produce. Alternating entrées of Venison Carpaccio and Seared Scallops were followed by a generous sharing-style feast featuring Lumina Lamb Shoulder, whole salmon, twice-cooked potatoes, seasonal vegetables and estate salads.

Before dessert was served, guests were invited to step away from the table for an exclusive tour of Caldera Vineyard Estate. Hosted by Founder and Director Tony Anderson, the experience offered more than a look behind the scenes. Guests were given a glimpse into Caldera’s exciting vision for the future, with Tony sharing some of the estate’s upcoming plans and aspirations. It was a rare opportunity to hear about what’s on the horizon before it becomes public, making the experience feel all the more special.

While the ladies explored the estate, the Archibalds team prepared one final surprise. Waiting at each place setting upon their return was a personalised gift bag featuring a Caldera candle, luxurious hand wash and hand cream, along with a bottle of each guest’s favourite wine from the tasting.

Delighted by the thoughtful surprise, guests settled back into their seats to enjoy beautifully presented desserts of Lemon Curd Cheesecake and Coconut & Plum Panna Cotta. It was the perfect way to round out an unforgettable afternoon.

As the afternoon drew to a close and guests departed Caldera Vineyard Estate in their Range Rovers, it was clear the event had been about far more than exceptional food, fine wine and spectacular scenery. It was a celebration of community, connection and the remarkable women who are part of the Archibalds family. From the perfect winter weather and breathtaking location to the unforgettable driving experience and shared conversations, every element came together to create memories that will last long after the drive home.
