Classic Cars & Timeless Roads – Bruce & Kay Miles at the Mille Miglia
In a journey through automotive history, Bruce Miles, Founder and Governing Director of Miles Group, and his wife, Kay, recently immersed themselves in one of Europe’s most celebrated classic car races. Their adventure began with the exclusive Mille Miglia Warm Up in Switzerland, serving as the perfect prelude to the main event – Italy’s legendary Mille Miglia.
A Personal Passion
Bringing together enthusiasts from around the world, these iconic events pay tribute to the legacy of motorsport and the artistry of vintage cars.
Bruce and Kay’s participation extends beyond the thrill of competition. Behind the wheel of their 1952 Ferrari 212 Inter Pinin Farina, they proudly took part in both the Warm Up and the Mille Miglia, joining a global community of like-minded devotees united by tradition and craftsmanship.
For Bruce, this represents far more than a pastime. It’s a lifelong commitment that weaves together heritage, precision, and the pure exhilaration of motoring. His passion runs deeper than mere admiration, born from decades dedicated to honouring and preserving the spirit of automotive excellence.

Warming Up in Style
The dynamic 1000 Miglia Warm Up weekend offered a rare opportunity to perfect regularity timing techniques and sharpen navigation skills – all within the distinct atmosphere of the historic rally.
31 selected teams from around the world took part in this unforgettable experience, covering 610 km while mastering their rallying skills amidst the stunning Swiss landscape. Beginning in the Bern area, the route unfolded through the Jura region before continuing into Valais, where mountain passes, vineyards, and alpine scenery created a drive both thrilling and picturesque.
The Heart of the Mille
Following the excitement of the Warm Up, the spotlight turned to the 1000 Miglia 2025 – renowned as “the most beautiful race in the world”.
This prestigious rally carries forward the legacy of the legendary Mille Miglia, the iconic endurance race that captivated the world from 1927 to 1957. Today’s event maintains strict authenticity, welcoming only classic cars that either participated in or were eligible for the original competition, cementing its status as one of the world’s most revered historic motoring celebrations.
The 2025 edition took drivers on an epic 1,900-kilometre journey from Brescia to Rome and back – five days of automotive passion featuring over 400 vehicles representing 29 nations.
Passing through some of Italy’s most characteristic landmarks, the roar of engines, cheers of crowds, and the beauty of timeless cars made for an unforgettable experience.

For them, it’s also about being part of something bigger – connecting with fellow participants who share the same enthusiasm for preserving and celebrating automotive heritage. Beyond the rallies themselves, experiences like these reaffirm their commitment to keeping the spirit of classic motoring alive for future generations. Each journey adds to their story, but also contributes to the ongoing legacy of a community united by its devotion to the road.
