What does SVR mean?
At Archibalds Jaguar and Land Rover, we’re often asked what SVR means in relation to Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. SVR stands for Special Vehicle Ratings and is created by the Special Vehicle Operations department (SVO). Quite simply, vehicles with an SVR badge represent enhanced performance and premium sports design.
Enhanced Performance
Despite their similarity to the traditional range, models wearing the SVR badge represent the highest level of performance available across the brands. SVR models receive a more powerful engine, a faster 0-100km/h time, and a higher top speed.
For those after a more aggressive and sportier vehicle, the SVRs will provide a much more visceral and exciting driving experience.
Premium Design
As you enter the interior of the SVR model, the upgraded interior trim is immediately noticeable. Beautiful Alcantera leather lines the dash, stunning heated and cooled leather bucket seats and small SVR badging details set it apart from standard models. The exterior also boasts a more athletic look with larger air intakes and cooling vents, upgraded alloys, and a larger spoiler. This combination of features results in a look that is much more refined and sportier than ever before.
The SUV Range
The first vehicle to earn a Special Vehicle Rating was in 2017 with the Jaguar F-Type SVR, and ever since has become a staple in the Jaguar and Land Rover ranges.
