Audi Water Alliance

Audi and the Alliance for Water Stewardship

Audi is the first premium auto manufacturer to join the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS). This global coalition of companies, NGOs, and the public sector is dedicated to water stewardship throughout the value chain; this step will allow Audi’s San José Chiapa site in Mexico to seek certification under the International Water Stewardship Standard, also known as the AWS Standard.

Clean drinking water is one of the most valuable resources in the world, which is why Audi focuses on economical and efficient water use in its Mission:Zero environmental program. The company wants to keep its own water consumption as low as possible and over time, stop using drinking water in production. By 2035, it is anticipated that ecologically weighted water consumption1 per vehicle produced will decline by about half at Audi’s five production sites from 3.75 to roughly 1.75 cubic meters (990 to 462 gallons). Additionally, Audi, together with its suppliers, is committing to economical water consumption throughout the entire supply chain.

Three racing drivers stand with a Jaguar F-PACE SVR

She Sets the Pace with Jaguar

Jaguar New Zealand set to challenge conventions in automotive. New research has unveiled outdated gender stereotypes still exist in the automotive industry, with over half of New Zealanders (55%) believing men can drive better than women. 55% of men believe that women are more interested in the style, colour and aesthetics of a car than performance – while women claim performance and safety are the most important considerations when purchasing a new vehicle.

To help dispel these gender misconceptions, Jaguar has partnered with three female motorsport stars who will educate the New Zealand public on how we can achieve equality in driving.

Land Rover & Sir John Kirwan, Mitey

Through Land Rover New Zealand, we’re proud to lend our support to Sir John Kirwan’s fundraising drive in a bid to change the course of mental health in Aotearoa.

An incredible three-quarters of New Zealanders believe this generation of children are at greater risk of mental health issues that the generations before them. It’s time to make a change.

In 2022, All Blacks legend Sir John Kirwan partners with Land Rover on a landmark drive across Aotearoa to raise awareness for mental health, with an ambition to raise enough money to roll out his charitable initiative Mitey to 40 more schools to help over 11,000 Kiwi kids.

As the face of mental health in New Zealand for over a decade, Sir John will be hosting eight community events from Auckland to Invercargill that will be open to members of the public, wider school community and mental health advocates to attend. The Christchurch event will be at Whītau School, 8 July 2022, 2:45pm.

Breast Cancer Cure and Volvo

Volvo & Breast Cancer Cure

Breast Cancer Cure is the only not-for-profit charitable trust in New Zealand, and they are established solely to support research into finding a “cure” for breast cancer, by funding vital research. One in nine New Zealand women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and two will lose their battle every day.

Research continues to be pivotal in developing our understanding of preventing, managing and curing cancer, it is at the heart of progress made to date and it is essential we continue to drive improvements. It is only through research that we will find the cure so that the next generation of New Zealanders can look forward to a future free from the fear of breast cancer and, Volvo New Zealand could not be prouder to partner with such a cause.

Each pair sold from this collection will donate $10 towards Carbon Click NZ to regenerate a native forest in Kaikōura, off-setting the carbon emissions of the shoes. Motorsport

Given the vehicles we sell, service, and provide parts for, it should come as no surprise that many of our customers are motorsport enthusiasts, not to mention many of our team members.

The Archibalds name has a long history of motorsport participation and support in New Zealand, and owner Bruce Miles himself regularly races for the Historic Touring Cars in his iconic BMW.

Archibalds Historic Touring Cars
